Hi, Iā€™m Renee!

Iā€™m an artist, a mom, and a cowgirl, but mostly Iā€™m someone who believes weā€™re better when we do life together. Life out here can be hard ā€” raising kids, chasing dreams, figuring yourself out ā€” but itā€™s also really beautiful when you realize there are people who get it.

This work comes from that place. From community, from real life, and from cheering each other on through it all. Itā€™s art that says I see the work youā€™ve done to become who you are and tells the human story.

Her story is nothing short of inspiring as she spends her day riding pasture with her daughter and this summer her niece decided to join them. Serious girl power.. with the help of a pack of dogs. I loved the barren landscape, blue sky, and then bundled in warm clothing. I recall fondly moving cows each fall to pastures closer to home. The air was brisk, the wind had a bite, and yet the sunshine and blue skies made it all tolerable. It was nice to get this painting finished up and move onto my commission before the kids got home from school.

Resting is something I'm working on... Such a silly thing to say but if you know me, I'm foot to the floor board because I've got 6 hrs a day, 5 days a week(if I'm lucky) to do EVERYTHING in my business. You also know I'm the one shouting from the roof tops, "we can have everything we ever wanted if we go for it!" And reality is, I know if I don't do it today it'll make everything compound. But more than anything food on the table and bills rely on this- no pressure. All this said, I know if I rest today and give myself grace in a low I can pick myself up and be stronger and better in the long run... But it's still hard to stop and say can I push through this low with an extra foamy latte or am I better to take a nap?

It feels like a breath of fresh air to say, "I really don't care what you do." What someone else does might not be what I would do and it might not be how I would conduct myself, but they get to make that choice, not me and what a blessing it is to let people do their thing. I think I'm old now. I mean I've always beat to my own drum, but now more than ever. I can see where I've been and I can see where my life could go if I do the things that scare me/aren't cool. I am changing my life by making the cold call, going to the event alone, sending emails, redoing my website, creating automations, and continuing to be real. I don't care if people think it's cool or cringe, I'm doing it to change my life, my family's life, and the people in my community.

I didn’t start this to build a brand. I started it to feel less alone. Life out here is hard. Motherhood is hard. Choosing a different path is hard. But it’s also beautiful — because of the people who show up, cheer quietly, and keep going anyway. This space is for the ones building a life where they are. For the ones who understand both the grit and the grace. For the ones who know community doesn’t have to be loud to be strong. If you’re here, you’re part of it

To start with I applied to small things and once I got accepted into those I tried applying to bigger things and maybe I got rejected this year but what next brings, time will only tell and that the thrill...
